Lake Schliersee

The area where ski legend Markus Wasmeier comes from combines tradition with active, modern tourism. It spans a culturally interesting range of destinations from a visit to the "Old Bavarian Village", to the St. Sixtus Church, from the burial place of the legendary poacher Jennerwein to the castle ruin of Hohenwaldeck.

Tegernsee Valley

The magical Lake Tegernsee is at the foot of the massive Wallberg. And the former Benedictine Monastery with the nearby Castle Church (Schlosskirche) are very impressive landmarks. The appeal of towns like Gmund, Bad Wiessee, Rottach-Egern, Tegernsee, and Kreuth has always been legendary, attracting artists, aristocrats, and spa guests. The influence of the worldly visitors created an interesting and lively combination of Bavarian traditions and customs and a sophisticated zeitgeist.

And even more outings.
