Welcome to Bavaria, welcome to us by the Spitzingsee.
Ww combine tradition, quality and enjoyment. We are a member of the Schlierseer Landküche group.
This means that we pay particular attention to regional products when purchasing our food, drinks and goods and source some 80 percent from within a radius of 80 kilometres. Not only do we want to avoid long transport routes, but we also want to support our local traders, producers and farmers. Sustainability is particularly close to our hearts here.

Lantenhammer Distillery
Our supplier of fine spirits.
The roots of the Lantenhammer Distillery lie in Hausham in the district of Agatharied, where Amalie and Josef Lantenhammer founded their own gentian distillery in 1928.
In 1935, the company moved to Schliersee. With its next move from Schliersee to the newly built distillery experience in Hausham, Lantenhammer became one of the most modern distilleries in Europe. Concrete meets larch wood, design meets cosiness – a distillery unlike any other. The business has thus returned to its roots and produces the finest distillates and specialities here, just as it did almost 100 years ago. Taste selected products with us at the bar or in the restaurant.
Slyrs Whisky Schliersee
Our supplier and partner for whisky specialities.
A true Bavarian with roots in Ireland and Scotland. Although the name SLYRS is Gaelic and has roots in Ireland and Scotland, SLYRS is Bavarian through and through. In 779, five monks from Ireland and Scotland founded a monastery in the remote Schliersee corner of Bavaria. Adalung, Hiltupalt, Kerpalt, Antonius and Otakir call this monastery SLYRS, correctly pronounced SCHLIERS, by the way. Over the centuries, the SLYRS monastery gave its name to the entire Schliersee region and, 1,220 years later, also to a very special Upper Bavarian single malt whisky.
A special highlight is the Slyrs Mountain Edition. The unique SLYRS high-altitude storehouse is located on the Stümpfling mountain, where the SLYRS Mountain Edition matures for five years until its perfection. This special storage location boasts the purest mountain air and extreme temperature fluctuations of up to 60° degrees, characteristics that are reflected in the precious SLYRS qualities of a clear, intense flavour and exceptional piquancy. You can taste this special whisky and other unique specialities in our hotel – and some are even on sale.

Tegernsee natural cheese dairy in Kreuth
Our supplier of haymilk cheese.
In 2007, around a dozen farmers from the Tegernsee Valley decided to take the quality, processing and marketing of their milk into their own hands. Why? Because our products, made with a lot of commitment and deep conviction, were being devalued from many sides: the price of milk was in free-fall, the reputation of milk was shaken by a series of scandals, an entire profession – and with it entire regions – were in the hands of international big corporations and speculators. This is how the cooperative Naturkäserei TegernseerLand eG was founded, giving control over how the haymilk went on to be processed and how the products made from it were marketed. The goal was and remains to enhance the added value, to strengthen traditional agriculture and, last but not least, to preserve the structures of the local landscape. 20 types of cheese are made and 20 farmers from the Tegernsee valley supply the natural cheese dairy with fresh haymilk every day. During a guided tour of the cheese dairy, you can experience how aromatic cheese is made from the shiny haymilk.
